What you need
A Claude or ChatGPT account (or any MCP-capable assistant), and this server address:
https://mcp.appnest.ing/mcp
Connect with Claude
- Open Claude → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Paste
https://mcp.appnest.ing/mcpas the connector URL and add it. - Claude opens AppNest's consent screen — click Approve.
- Sign in with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email.
- Done. Claude can now build apps on AppNest.
Connect with ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors → Advanced → add a connector.
- Paste
https://mcp.appnest.ing/mcpand add it. - Approve the consent screen and sign in with Google or an email code.
Custom MCP connector support in ChatGPT depends on your plan and may live under a developer or advanced setting. If you don't see it, try Claude — the experience is the same once connected.
Using another MCP client
AppNest is a standard MCP server, so any AI assistant that supports remote, authenticated servers can connect — not only Claude and ChatGPT.
- In your client's settings, add a custom or remote MCP server.
- Use
https://mcp.appnest.ing/mcpas the server address. - Approve the connection, then sign in with Google or a one-time email code.
Your client needs to support remote MCP servers with sign-in — local-only clients can't reach AppNest. The setup steps are named differently from client to client, but it's always the same idea: add the server URL above, then sign in.
What sign-in looks like
AppNest has no passwords. You'll choose Continue with Google or enter your email and type the 6-digit code we send you (it can take a minute — check spam). Your account is created automatically the first time. AppNest only ever connects this AI client to apps you own.
Build your first app
Just ask, in plain language. Try one of these:
- "Make an RSVP page for my backyard BBQ — let people RSVP and say what they're bringing."
- "Build a poll for which movie we watch Friday, and show me the running tally."
- "A private intake form for new clients — name, project, budget — that emails me each submission."
- "A shared scorecard for our weekly poker night that everyone updates from their phone."
The assistant creates the app, provisions a backend if it needs one, writes the frontend, and publishes it. When it's done you'll get an in-chat card with your live link — Open it, Copy the link to share, or Manage it in your dashboard.
After it's live
Every app you make shows up at dashboard.appnest.ing — open,
share, or delete it there, signed in with the same account. Apps are public by link by
default, or you can make one private — shared only with the people you invite, who sign in
with a magic link. AppNest is still an early product, so keep regulated or highly sensitive data out of your
apps for now. Want a custom address like portal.yourcompany.com, or more apps? Those come with
Pro — see pricing.
Troubleshooting
- Opening the server URL in a browser shows
invalid_token? That's expected — connect from your AI client, not the browser. - Email code didn't arrive? Give it a minute and check spam, then use "resend" — or sign in with Google instead.
- Connect timed out? Just start the connector setup again; the sign-in window is short on purpose.
- Hit an app limit? Delete unused apps at dashboard.appnest.ing, or upgrade to Pro for more.
- Still stuck? Email [email protected].
